      23 1/8" by 36 1/4" framed. John (Len Jong) Loo (1922 - 2005) was active/lived in Arizona. John Loo is known for Palette knife painting. Len Jong "John" Loo of Glendale, Az was born in Canton, China on Sept. 23rd, 1922 and went to be with the Lord on May 8th, 2005. He came to the United States in the 30's. John served in the United States Maritime Service until the end of World War II. After the war, he joined the U.S. Army and served until the end of the Korean War. John owned and operated "Loo's Teahouse" in Glendale. In 1971 he pursued his love of art and became a Professional Artist and Art Instructor. He developed a special technique of Palette Knife Oil Painting, which gained him world-renowned recognition. His passions in retirement were the Sun's games and trips to Las Vegas. In January he celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary with his wife, Pearl. Together they were blessed with three children, Kent (Tracey), Lillian (Jeffery Tang), and Donna (Les Tang). He also had four grandchildren that he deeply cherished . . . Kristin Loo, Paul Loo, Lauren Tang and Ryan Tang. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from 4-7:00pm at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel 719 N. 27th Ave Phx, Az. Burial will be private.
