          Lowe (J.Landor, civil engineer, 1850-1931) Viaducts and Tunnels on the Midland Railway, title, 2pp. index of measurements, costs etc. and 84pp. of very detailed technical drawings beautifully executed in various coloured inks with additional information in black ink, on thick paper, facing leaves only, contemporary roan, upper cover titled in gilt, rather worn, upper cover detached, n.d.; and another similar printed work by J.A.McDonald of 1898, oblong 8vo (2) ⁂ Lowe joined the Engineering Department of the Midland Railway in 1872 and was appointed Chief Assistant for New Works under John Allen McDonald, Chief Engineer, in 1890.
