    1) 1884 letter written by Richard Theodore Greener, during Presidents McKinley and Roosevelt's administrations, Greener was a prominent figure and international affairs. He was given several awards by different nations for good service. Condition - very good 2) 1884 letter, Mississippi from John Roy Lynch (1847-1939), John Lynch was a slave in Mississippi. He was appointed by the Gov. of Mississippi as a Justice of the Peace in 1869. He then moved into politics holding many elected offices. Pres. McKinley appointed him as a pay master in the regular army with the rank of Capt. in 1901 and retired as a major. Condition - very good
