Artist and painter Csaba Markus was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1953. When he was 10 and showing artistic talent, his teacher encouraged his mother to enroll him in art classes. At the young age of 14, Markus' artworks appeared on public television. Before leaving Budapest, Markus studied sculpting under renowned Hungarian artist Mohacsi Regos Ferenc. In 1978, Markus moved to America, settling in California. Taking inspiration from the Early Renaissance painters such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Raphael, and Sandro Botticelli, the artist would study these great works with a passion.
