"Double Earth Crisis," a self-portrait by noted New York artist, Victor Matthews (b. 1963), an African-American painter who associated with and worked alongside other NYC art icons of the 1980s -- particularly street artists -- including Keith Haring, Richard Hambleton, Francesco Clemente and Ross Bleckner. He painted this piece fairly early in his career (painting is dated 1987), when Keith Haring's influence was still apparent in his style. Matthews' work appears in the art collections of Jay Z, Donald Trump, Ellen Degeneres, and Forest Whitaker, among others. Measures 54" x 72-3/8".
