Buck McCain Art for Sale at Auction

b. 1943 -

Artist Buck McCain was born in 1943, and he grew up on a ranch in Southern California. After a horse ride left him injured, he taught himself to paint. Most of his oil paintings were peaceful western scenes, depicting cowboys and Native Americans. Later in his career he became an avid, sought-after sculptor.

Sculptor Buck McCain created a bronze monument, commissioned by the City of Tucson, Arizona, in 1987, entitled Soldado de Cuera. Cowboys, horses, and Native Americans in detailed form are key subjects in Buck McCain's figural sculptures for sale. A life-sized bronze sculpture of a Native American by artist Buck McCain, was purchased by Leanin' Tree Museum and Sculpture Garden in Colorado, and he has also created life-sized buffalo sculptures for multiple buyers.
