Good painting of the horse in the field with the house in the background. In good condition with no major flaws. Artist signed lower left and housed in a wooden frame that measures 43 1/4" by 33 1/4". Sight measurement is 39 1/2" by 29 1/2".

In good condition with some areas of paint loss. You can see this in the photos. Artist signed lower left and housed in a gilt wood frame that measures 44 3/ It is of a tan Great Dane standing among the leaves by some water feature.4" by 34 1/2" with sight measurement being 39 3/4" by 29 3/4".

Nice painting of the horse in the field. In general good condition with some areas of paint loss along with some craquelure. In addition, there is a scrape on the frame. You can see these in the photos. Artist signed lower left and housed in a wood frame with gold banding that measures 43 3/4 by 33 1/4". Sight measurement is 39 1/2" by 29 1/2".

    Large Framed Oil on Canvas of International Champion Great Dane by Enno Meyer Enno Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1874 – 1947), was primarily an animal portraitist. This painting is thought to be from the 1920's and features the International Champion Great Dane by the name of "FEO von EHRENTHAL" standing majestically. This is the dog that Evalyn Walsh McLean would take to the grocery store with the Hope Diamond securely affixed to the dog's collar and if anyone noticed and wanted a photo, she was glad to oblige- even letting the person put the diamond on for the snap. .In relatively good condition, it does show some paint wear in a couple of areas. Measures 40 5/8" by 33 1/2" in the wooden frame with sight measurement being 34" by 27".

    Enno Meyer (American/Ohio, 1874-1947) Champion; Toppo V. Sigalsburg, 1937 Doberman Pinscher Portrait oil on canvas in carved and gilt frame. Meyer was a nationally renowned painter, sculptor, dog breeder and dog show judge, most noted for animal thoroughbred portraiture and photography. Meyer attended the Cincinnati Art Academy and was a member of the Cincinnati Art Club. He took the photographs included in a pamphlet distributed by the Cincinnati Zoo, Studies in Zoology: A Book Devoted to Animals and Animal Life at the Cincinnati Zoological Garden, published by the zoo in 1900. He was so well known and beloved of dog breeders throughout the country that his wedding announcement to 'Miss June Scanlon' was published in the September (1921) issue of Dog Fancier magazine.
