Chester Michalik Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1935 -

Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Chester Michalik earned a BS from the Massachusetts College of Art, and an MFA from Boston University. He taught at the Rhode Island School of Design from 1964 to 1978 and he is featured in both the The Seventh Annual Portfolio and the Ninth Annual Portfolio of the Photographic Education Society, Rhode Island School of Design (1973 and 1976, respectively). Starting in 1978, Michalik taught at Smith College, where he is presently Professor Emeritus in the Department of Art.
