    Bologna, 1645. In 2nd. Elegant chalcographic architectural frontispiece surmounted by the arms of the dedicatee of the work, with 42 etchings on 21 sheets, two two on each sheet (the engravings n. 15 and 16, 23 and 24, 43 and 44 are missing), the n. 47 signed: "Agost. Mitelli painter", restoration of the title page, slight blooms, some halo, back binding in half parchment and marbled paper, with author and title imprinted longitudinally on the spine. Paper ex libris on the counterplate.

(Berlin Kat. 564) the complete set of fifty engravings including title and dedication, circa 1645, the 48 plates printed two per page or two single sheets joined, good impressions from the First Edition, published in Bologna, 1645; including a reverse copy of the penultimate plate loosely inserted; bound with a self-portrait, and a small copy thereof; with occasional minor spotting and foxing, otherwise in generally good condition. Plates: 13¼ x 3 in. (335 x 80 mm.) Sheets: 16 x 10½ in. (410 x 270 mm.) Provenance: Acquired from Marlborough Rare Books, 1985.
