      Eleanor Modrakowska (American, 1879 – 1955), "She Little Visits," etching on paper, signed lower right and titled lower left and noted as being from an edition of 35, measures 8 x 5.75 inches to the plate mark, 18.75 x 14.75 inches framed. CONDITION: Good, scuffing to frame, matt discolored. Modrakowska was born in New York and was a painter and etcher who mainly created portraits, landscapes, and florals with some ventures into modernism. Her work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1932 Summer Olympics. She was a member of the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors, the Society of American Etchers, and the Chicago Society of Etchers.
