Calf presentation binding stamped in gilt and blind, cloth slipcase. Wear to extremities. Publisher's presentation copy. When May I Bring A Friend? won the Caldecott Medal in 1965, Atheneum had a copy specially bound and presented it to Montresor. His editors have warmly inscribed and affixed a gold Caldecott Medal seal to the first leaf, and Montresor's original pen-and-ink drawing for the title page has been laid in.
