She is known for lush, layered oil paintings, pastels, drawings and watercolors, portraits of children, landscapes and flowers. Her illustrations appeared in Vogue, McCalls, Town & Country, Seventeen, Ladies Home Journal and Interview, and numerous books. She was featured in American Artist for her unique methods as a noted painter and illustrator. Her paintings also served as images for the award-winning short film "A Texas Romance, 1909."
