    Commemorative Medals, United States of America, Edwin R[obert] A[nderson] Seligman (1861-1939), Economist, Bronze Tribute Medal, 1910, by John Mowbray-Clarke, bust right, rev legend, SCHOLAR. TEACHER. CITIZEN., 63mm (BDM VIII, 85). Softly sculpted and uneven patination, very fine and rare. John Frederick Mowbray-Clarke (1869-1953), sculptor and specialist in medals and animals, born in Jamaica. He was one of the organisers of the Armory Show, in 1913, and the only medallist to design two pieces for the Circle of Friends of the Medallion (cf Baxter p 74).
