After that he lived as a freelance artist in Berlin. He mainly created portraits, landscapes and still lifes. In 1927 he was represented in the group exhibition "European Art of the Present" in Hamburg. He was a full member of the Deutscher Künstlerbund, with which he exhibited three times between 1928 and 1931, but in whose membership lists he is listed only until 1929. In 1931 Mühsam gave up his Berlin apartment and moved to Paris, where he also taught (Frédéric H. Muhsam). In the 1930s he came into closer contact with the Garman-Epstein family. Two portraits of children by Esther and Theo Garman, which Mühsam painted in 1934, are now in the New Art Gallery Walsall collection. PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked °), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax of 13%, for photographys 20%, is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium. The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
