Published by LOSKh, Leningrad, 19441 Marked and stamped in the print. Boevoi Karandash is a creative association of Leningrad artists who produced propaganda posters and collections of satirical drawings in the middle of the 20th century. This phenomenon of mass art is often referred to as such. Nikolai Muratov was one of the founding artists of the Boyevoi Karandash collective. A Russian Soviet era lithographic propaganda poster designed in 1941 by Nikolai Muratov, 1908 to 1992, a Russian Soviet graphic artist, member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists, one of the organizers of Combat Pencil, a creative association of Leningrad artists, who produced propaganda posters during the WWII. The Russian text is a quote by Soviet author Boris Timofeev, 1899 to 1963, reads as follows: The three pigs or How partisans put a pig to the fascists. Combat Pencil N 44, Leningrad.
