EDWARD MUSANTE was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in San Francisco, California. He received a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and received an MFA from the University of Idaho in 1999. While in the Peace Corps, Musante taught English in Niger, West Africa and subsequently spent two years in Dakar, Senegal, working for the U.S Public Health Service Measles Smallpox eradication program, and afterwards traveled through Europe. Musante moved back to the United States, first living in Connecticut, then moving to Seattle and finally settling in Tucson in 2012, where he lives and works today.

      Ed Musante, American, 1942 to 2022, watercolor painting on paper depicting a street scene. Inscribed, gift from artist Ed Musante to Maggie, and dated 1980s, on the backside. Framed. Ed Musante was born in Honolulu, HI, and was raised in San Francisco, CA. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Art History. He moved to Seattle and began showing his paintings in galleries. In 1998 he entered the MFA program at the University of Idaho. Thats where he began painting birds on cigar boxes. He loves painting birds for their colors and attitudes and the graphics of cigar boxes can frame the birds and relate to them in a symbiotic way. He has lived in Tucson since 2012. One of a kind artwork.
