      Charles Muss Musso, England, 1779-1824, is a famed glass and enamel painter. This enamel on copper painting is beautifully done enamel with incredible detail. It is done after a work byBenjamin West. no cracks or chips. brass frame tag reads "CHARLES MUSS, AFTER BENJAMIN WEST, P.R.A., 1823". Old, illegible label on back. 10" x 9" framed. painting measures 6 3/4" x 5 1/2". excellent condition. monogrammed lower right.

(37 mm.) high, rectangular ormolu frame with foliate surround and sea-shells at corners, surmounted by a laurel wreath, engraved on the reverse 'May 10 t h. 1824'
