Nagaoka ʹ70’ Sheet dimensions: 36.3 x 33.9 cm Very good condition Over the image area created in tones of beige a zig-zag shape of cloudy applied earthy color tones stretches vertically. Sweeping lines scratched into the strong cardboard, give it a stabilizing structure. The watercolor is signed and dated lower right in India ink ‘K. Nagaoka ‘70’. It is overall in very good condition. The sheet measures 36.3 x 33.9 cm. Kunito Nagaoka (geb. 1940) Born in Nagano the Japanese artists worked after his studies in Tokyo first as a graphic designer. In 1966 he moved to Germany and studied at the State Academy for Graphic Arts, Printing and Advertising in Berlin. A study of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts that he completed as master student of Gerhard Bergmann, followed. Until 1990, Nagaoka worked internationally as a guest lecturer.
