Julia Navaratnam Sold at Auction Prices

Julia Navaratnam is an emerging Australian contemporary artist from Sydney.

Born to Indian and Sri-Lankan parents, the artist draws influence from her cultural heritage and translates this into interpretive pieces of modern art.

In addition, Julia has been influenced by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and is currently being taught by the well-established abstract, contemporary artist Max Milan.

Julia found her creative passion whilst completing law school at Western Sydney University, and tapped into this outlet professionally after graduating in 2016.

The use of a bold colour palette and often minimalistic styling has been said to be a key defining feature of Julia’s works. As a result, Julia’s works are a reflection of her artistic mantra that, ‘creativity has no bounds’.
