Early 20th Century; Original, Overall frame measures 34.50” height by 28.50” width Vincent Nesbert (1898-1976) was a Polish/American painter well known and sought after for his skills in portraiture. He received many commissions during his life from prominent individuals, such as the Kaufmann family. This original oil portrait depicts an older woman in front of a brown background. She appears seated and wears a long sleeved, white dress with lace detailing among her shoulders, large, black fabric tied around her neck, and a large black and gold hat. She is depicted middle-aged given her graying hair but not yet elderly as evident by her still youthful appearance. Her attire suggests this portrait was completed during the Edwardian era, roughly 1901-1919. Signed top right “V. Nesbert.” The antique frame is slightly damaged. The verso of frame has “24 x 30” and “#30” written on it. We encourage all interested parties to make an appointment for viewing and inspection of paintings. Please view the photos.
