      Dorothy Christoffers Newman (American (Florida), d. 2011), "Boy with Resting Dog", oil on canvas, signed at right under dog's leg. Figural oil painting depicting a young boy with blond curled hair wearing an athletic yellow tee with number 66 on front and sleeves, seated cross legged beside a sleeping brown and white St. Bernard dog. Framed approximately 41.25" x 51.5". Unframed approximately 38.75" x 49". . Note: Christoffers Nemwan studied at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida as well as the Banff School of Fine Arts in Banff, Canada. She created art from her private home studio on Lake Geneva in Keystone Heights, Florida and where she focused on painting portraits and wildlife scenes. The proceeds of the sale of this lot will benefit Lost & Found Thrift, an Atlanta non-profit that works to end LGBTQ youth homelessness.
