Willy Robert Huth Watt. 1953. Öl auf Platte. 72 x 97 cm. Monogrammiert und datiert. - Punktuelle kleine Flecken. Insgesamt sehr gut mit satter, glänzender und frischer Farbe. Literatur: Vollmer u.a. - Willy Robert Huth war ein expressionistischer Landschaftsmaler der sogenannten "Verschollenen Generation". Er studierte an den Kunstgewerbeschulen in Erfurt und Düsseldorf und ließ sich 1918 in Berlin nieder, wo er Kontakte zu zu Künstlern wie Schmidt-Rottluff, Heckel, Grosz und Pechstein knüpfte und an Ausstellungen der Freien Sezession teilnahm. In dieser Zeit begann er mit der Arbeit auf Hiddensee, wo er auch seinen Lebensabend verbrachte. Unser Bild zeigt eine zeitlose, in reizvollen Farben komponierte Wattlandschaft. Signed and dated. Occasional small stains. Otherwise very good with rich, expressive elaboration of the atmospheric motif. - Willy Robert Huth was an expressionist landscape painter of the so-called 'lost generation'. He studied at the arts and crafts schools in Erfurt and Düsseldorf and settled in Berlin in 1918, where he made contact with artists such as Schmidt-Rottluff, Heckel, Grosz and Pechstein and took part in exhibitions organised by the Freie Sezession. During this time, he began working on Hiddensee, where he also spent his last years. Our painting shows a timeless tidal flat landscape composed in charming colours.
