    Original woodblockrprint. Japan, The Chinese Princess Kinshojo 錦祥女 from the play Kokusen-ya Kassen.Original colour woodblock print from the series „Dai Chikamatsu zenshu“ - furoku mokuhan. Signature: Signatur: Suisho. Edition: about 1922/26. Good condition. About the artist: Nishimura Suisho was a part of the Kyoto Nihonga Painting Artists group. He was a student of Takeuchi Seiho. The highly decorated artist was represented on numerous exhibitions. He was also a member of the Imperial Art Academy. Jointly with Kiguchi Keigetsu he ranked among the most renowned artist in Kyoto of that period.
