    Charles Nogaro, Haubenhühner mit Kürbis und Nelken sommerlicher Winkel im Garten, mit drei prächtigen Haubenhühnern vor einem Busch blühender Nelken, sich an einem Kürbis labend, gering pastose Malerei mit breitem Pinselduktus in fein abgestimmter Farbigkeit, Öl auf Leinwand und Holzrahmen, links unten signiert und datiert "C. Nogaro [18]74", hinterlegte Fehlstellen in der Leinwand, Malschichtverluste, restaurierungsbedürftig, schlicht mit angenagelten Leisten gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 100 x 81 cm. Künstlerinfo: auch Carlo oder Carlos Nogaro, italienischer, französischstämmiger Maler und Illustrator (1837 Asti/Piemont in Italien bis 1885 oder 1931 Choisy-au-Bac/Compiègne), weitestgehend Autodidakt, um 1857 Übersiedlung nach Rom, hier kurzzeitig Schüler von Michelangelo Pittatore und Anschluss an Nino Costa, Charles Monnier, Charles Pittara, Enrico Gamba und Federico Pastoris, Ende der 1850er Jahre bis 1861 in Asti freischaffend, 1861–63 Aufenthalt in der Toskana, anschließend Studienaufenthalt in Konstantinopel, später in Constantine in Algerien und Zentralafrika, ab 1868 in Frankreich tätig, beschickte 1868–81 den Pariser Salon, schuf 1878 den italienischen Pavillon auf der Pariser Weltausstellung, tätig in Paris, Quelle: Thieme-Becker, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Bénézit und italienische Wikipedia.
