XAVIER NOGUÉS (Barcelona, 1873 - 1941) and RICARD CRESPO (Cambrils, 1891 - Barcelona, 1949) Glass. Signed. Measurements: 6 x 4,5 x 4,5 cm. It is a design of Xavier Nogués, executed by the enameller Ricard Crespo, with whom Nogués already collaborated in other occasions in the twenties, in pieces of enamelled glassware. A draughtsman, engraver and painter, Nogués trained at the Borrell Academy and the Colarossi and Viti academies in Paris. He exhibited at the Sala Parés as a member of the Association of Catalan Painters and Sculptors (1905), and combined painting with disciplines such as posters, illustration and even designs for ceramics. He collaborated with publications such as "Hojas Selectas", "Papitu", the "Almanac dels Noucentistes", "L'Esquella de la Torraxta" and "Picarol", among many other outstanding magazines of the time. He also published sets of illustrations. From 1909 onwards he also dedicated himself to engraving, excelling especially in etching, aquatint and drypoint. He is currently represented in the Nogués Foundation, as well as in the National Museum of Art of Catalonia and others.

For the dance of 1926, it appears that the theme was based around African culture.
