Mineral water out of Rome ought to be regal, but Nonni pulls out all the stops: from the lettering to the antique streaks upon the stone and the medieval embroidery of the dress. Born in Faenza, Nonni trained in the Arts & Crafts school and later became part of Faenza's famous ceramics industry, and was a master of woodcut, fine art painting, and of course, commercial posters. Seemingly walking on water, an elegant woman with voluminous red hair and anequally dramatic robe cradles a bottle of mineral water. Although the poster was designed in the Art Deco period, the figure's gracefully-flowing garment reflects the best Art Nouveau sensibilities. Not in Bolaffi.

L'opera conserva la brossura originale. Si tratta del primo numero della rivista Xilografia, rivista diretta da Francesco Nonni uscì fra il 1924 ed il 1926 in tiratura limitata a 300 copie, per complessivi 28 fascicoli. Le prime due annate uscirono mensilmente con 10 xilografie originali ogni numero; la terza annata, trimestrale, con 30 xilografie originali per un totale di 360 xilografie originali molte delle quali a colori, stampate accuratamente a piena pagina.
