In 1977 he became a member of the avant-garde artist group 'Letopis'. In 1982 he founded his own group called 'The New Artists', which was comparable with other contemporary groups such as the 'Neue Wilde' in Germany or 'Transavanguardia' in Italy. It became a real movement with its own theater and cinema, literature projects and music events. In the later 1980s, Novikovs style changed. Instead of expressive painting he created minimalistic works in stencil technique and textile collages. (fea) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
