        Coloured aquatint in blue by Hermanus Numan (1744-1820) after Pieter Barbiers III (1782-1837) (?), c. 1800, 39.5 x 51.5 cm., in mount and in gilt frame.Fine copy in remarkable colouring. The country estate of Over-Holland was founded in 1676. Previously, the print had been published in a much smaller size in Numan's "Vierentwintig Printtekeningen" from 1797. That was the first Dutch topographical work illustrated with coloured aquatints. Our print is the monumental version of that pioneering work. Ex collection Het Bisschopshof, with label on reverse.
