Keith Oehmig (Maine, Tennessee, 20/21st century). Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, artist Keith S. Oehmig now resides in Brunswick, Maine. Oehmig graduated Cum Laude from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois, receiving his B.A. in Studio Art and Art History. He then moved to Maine and began his career as a professional artist and gallery director.
While Oehmig primarily captures views of the spectacular Maine coastline, he regularly departs on painting trips to Florida and abroad. Working primarily in oils, Oehmig melds an impressionistic style with a rich and vibrant palette.
Oehmig's paintings have won numerous awards such as the Merit Award from the Hunter Museum of Art in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the Mable Axcy Dominick Award at Principia College, the Kodak International Newspaper Award, and Best In Show-Cityscape at the Gallery at Six Deering in Portland, Maine.
