His 1909 painting of a young girl is a masterful example of his realistic style and attention to detail. Ondrusek was known for his ability to capture the psychological depth and facial expression of his models, which is also evident in this work. Frantisek Ondrusek studied painting at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts and later continued his studies in Munich, where he became a key figure in the Czech art community. Together with important artists such as Ludek Marold and Alfons Mucha, he founded the association of Czech artists Skreta in Munich, which served to support Czech art abroad.
