      Oil painting on canvas, from the 1851 painting entitled "October Celebration in Rome" kept in Moscow in the State Tretyakov Gallery. The original painting was commissioned in 1847, completed in 1851 and exhibited by the artist in Rome, first in his studio and then in Piazza del Popolo, enjoying great success and receiving positive reviews from the Italian press. The image of the painting taken from the daguerreotypes was shown to Tsar Nicholas I and Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna, president of the Imperial Academy of Arts, but was not acquired for the royal collections. In 1853 it was bought by Feodor Ivanovich Pryanishnikov.
