Harry Packman, in the opinion of artists, critics, and genuine lovers of Art, is one of the truly promising and talented painters in Detroit. Harry Packman was born in St. Louis, MO. December 1913. At the age of 14 he went to work as a copy boy on one of our Detroit newspapers -one year later, he was transferred to the Art department. He has exhibited in annual shows for Michigan Artists at the Art Institute since 1943. In1947 and 1948, he was in the Pepsi-Cola Paintings of the Year shows.
