      George Palovich (Born 1939) "Figure Study" Ink on Paper. The gesture consists of drawing rapidly for 30 seconds to 1 minute, setting down the action and position of the subject. Daumier once said that any artist worth his salt should be able to draw a man falling from a tall building and finish before he hits the ground. George is a printmaker & painter as well as a sculptor. He lived in Ohio, Texas and Colorado before moving to Arizona. He has served on the Collections Committee for the West Valley Art Museum in 1990, helping to evaluate art donations to the collection. He was hired as Assistant Curator in 1992, and Curator in 1993. He left Arizona for Colorado after 6 years, and returned to the museum as Administrative Assistant in 2003.
