      Alphonse Palumbo (Italy/New York, 1890-1947) oil on canvas cityscape painting depicting the Manhattan skyline with a park landscape in the foreground, possibly Central Park, conveying the artist's perspective of the city from where he may have painted. The work is rendered in warm and cool shades, creating contrast with both color and light and sense of movement with windblown trees and smoke rising from the buildings. Signed "A. Palumbo" lower right. Housed in a giltwood frame. Sight: 26 7/8" H x 30 1/4" W. Framed: 32" H x 36" W.
