George Stocks was a UBC Ulumni in 1927. Afterwards, he moved to Revelstoke BC and established a photography business. There he met Ebba Hansen, the two were married on February 14th of 1944. Two years later, in1946, they built a new studio and store on Mackenzie Avenue which provided both business space and an upper floor apartment. George focused on landscape and portrait photography while Ebba managed the gift shop associated with the photography studio. Stocks photographed the landscape in and around Revelstoke, BC. He also photographed the people of Revelstoke; wedding portraits and portraits of notable citizens can be found in the Revelstoke Museum and Archives. George passed away in 1995.
