      Est: $500 - $750

Anne Eaton Parker (American, b. 1919), ink drawing, ca. mid 20th century CE. An elegant ink on paper drawing of a reclining female nude by American artist Anne Eaton Parker, the granddaughter of artist Joseph Oriel Eaton, a famous portrait and landscape painter. Ms. Parker spent much of her childhood traveling with the family to Florence. She spoke fondly of these visits, "We knew the Uffizi as well as our home. We could have drawn a floor plan and marked where a big proportion of the pictures were." Parker studied art at Bennington College with Stefan Hirsch and Paul Feeley. Size: 10.875" W x 8" H (27.6 cm x 20.3 cm); 15.125" W x 12.125" H (38.4 cm x 30.8 cm) framed Provenance: The William F. Draper Collection, New York City, USA, acquired via descent from the late William Franklin Draper (1912-2003), an accomplished American artist whose career spanned seven decades. Known as the "Dean of American Portraiture," William Draper was the only artist to paint President John F. Kennedy from life, and his oeuvre includes marvelous landscapes from his world travels, military paintings as he was one of only seventeen Combat Artists in WWII, and portraits of illustrious individuals. All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
