          Weiblicher Akt mit Leguan Farbige Kreiden und Aquarell auf Holz. Wohl um 1980-85. 60 x 50 cm. Unten links mit Pinsel in Olivgrün über Farbkreide in Rot signiert "Parkes". Während er auf seiner Indienreise nach meditativer Erleuchtung suchte, entwickelte Michael Parkes seinen eigenen realistischen Stil. Er zeichnete und malte, besonders akribisch und detailliert, Darstellungen von zumeist surrealen, magischen Bildmotiven. Stilistisch steht sein Werk dem magischen Realismus nahe. Besonders akkurat zeichnet er die wilde rote Haarpracht des weiblichen Aktes, kontrastreich dazu erstrahlen dessen blaue Augen.
