16L x 12W x 23H. This amazing Pacific Northwest coast totem shape shifter mask is in good condition with wear commensurate with age. A depiction of a man transferring his consciousness into anowl. The owl does come off of the head for easier and safer transport. Carved from wood and hand painted by the artist. The teeth are made from polished stone. This comes with the custom wall mount for display. A trulyunique piece of art worth of any enthusiasts collection! Pasco was raised in Alaska and Seattle, and is of English and Irish descent. He has been professionally active since his first gallery showing in 1966, working in both carving and two-dimensional formats. In 1967, he took a leave of absence from his then-employment for a steel-construction company, in order to move beyond what he describes as making"curios"[4] and pursue art education full-time.
