(96.5 x 121.4 cm) Artist: Bob Peak (1927-1992) SIGNED BY ROGER MOORE. It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/DVD sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures. This was the tenth of the James Bond films produced by Eon Productions, and the third starring Roger Moore. It was directed by Lewis Gilbert and also stars Barbara Bach, Curt Jürgens, and Richard Kiel in the memorable role of Jaws. It captured the imagination of everyone who saw it, with Bond's famous Lotus Esprit which converts into a submarine.

              Est: $1,000 - $1,500

This colorful poster was designed for The French Line of cruise ships circa 1962 by artist Bob Peak (1927 - 1992). It specifically promotes the brand new ocean liner, the S.S. France. An assortment of treats that can be found on board is assembled in the foreground. The S.S. France was the longest passenger ship of its time, and held that title until 2004. The Compagnie Generale Transatlantique (commonly shortened to "CGT"), typically known overseas as the French Line, was a shipping company established in 1861. It began as an attempt to revive the French merchant marine, which was in dire straights following the Crimean War of 1856. The company's first vessel, the SS Washington, had its maiden voyage in 1864. In addition to operating ocean liners, the company also had a significant fleet of freighters. The company survived both World Wars, but was no competition to the expansion of traveling by plane. In 1977, the company merged with the Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes to form the Compagnie Generale Maritime. Then, in 1996, the company Compagnie Generale Maritime merged to form the CMA CGM. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

(28 x 36 cm) each Poster: In 1979 the majority of posters this size were still being distributed folded. They were also distributed unfolded. Unfolded examples are more desirable and much harder to find. This American epic war film was directed, produced and co-written by Francis Ford Coppola, and stars Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Martin Sheen and Dennis Hopper. The documentary Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse chronicles how Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now was difficult to make, owing to the extraordinary script, shooting, budget, and casting problems, and how it almost destroyed the life and career of Coppola. Brando arrived on the set overweight and unfamiliar with his lines. Sheen unfortunately suffered a heart attack during filming. Even though the making of this film was plagued with many problems, the finished film is considered a masterpiece. Bid on Sotheby's
