      Titled ‘The Heythorp Hunt', titled and inscribed in the plate "Painted by Stephen Pearce" (English 1819-1904) (lower left), and "Engraved by James Scott" (lower right), hand-colored engraving. Pearce oils have achieved $20,000.00 plus numerous times at auction. Measures a very large 34" tall x 44" wide. And presented matted in a very high quality Cherry wood frame (probably costing $200-$300. new by itself) with meticulous gold accents on the boarders. This very high quality engraving and frame both are in flawless condition and ready to hang and admire.

Radclyffe, Esq., Master of the South Dorset Fox Hounds" presentation portrait, by members of the South Dorset Hunt to the Master of a seated horseman surrounded by hounds. Exhibited "Royal Academy 1875, Hunting and Racing Exhibition, Baltimore Museum of Art May 1939". The horse in Art New York Jan 1940 received first prize-Hunter Class. Oil on canvas, 22" x 30" in period giltwood frame with its presentation book and provenance. Provenance: Manchester, Massachusetts collection.

      Oil on canvas painting of Vice Admiral Sir Henry Kellett (1806-1875) noted British naval officer and Arctic explorer. Oil painting attributed to Stephen Pearce (1819-1904) measures 15.25" x 13" and is housed in a decorative gesso frame measuring 22.75" x 20.25". Image shows Kellet waist-up wearing naval uniform with epaulettes. On his chest he wears a 1818-1855 Victorian Arctic service medal, Companion of the Order of Bath, and a First China War medal-1842. Painting is similar to a portrait held by the National Portrait Gallery in London, England. Painting has been relined and exhibits some inpainting at lower left.
