The same moment that you are seen as the best, the fastest and somebody that cannot be touched, you are enormously fragile. Because in a split second, it's gone. These two extremes are feelings that you don't get every day. These are all things which contribute to -how can I say?- knowing yourself deeper and deeper. These are the things that keep me going."         Gregory Percival, Britannique, (né en 1964) « Endurance » sculpture en bronze patiné de la Porsche 917 K Le Mans « Steve McQueen » 1970-71, première édition de la sculpture réalisée en hommage aux deux victoires de la voiture aux 24 Heures du Mans telle qu'elle apparaît dans le film « Le Mans » de 1971 avec Steve McQueen, faite de sept pièces en bronze patiné à la main donnant une représentation dynamique de la voiture en vitesse avec sillage stylisé en résine transparente polie à la main, longueur 37 cm, discrètement marquée « Percival P009/010 SEPT 2016 » à l'intérieur de la partie avant, longueur totale 76 cm sillage compris et montée sur une plaque d'ardoise. Cette édition limitée à dix exemplaires de ce bronze patiné veut montrer la Porsche 917 après 24 heures de course avec ses courbes et ses formes recouvertes de poussière et de boue.
