Dosen-Set aus 2 Konservendosen, eine mit einer Papierbanderole umwickelt, die die Kopie einer Landschaftsansicht zeigt, die andere mit Acrylfarben in Schablonentechnik. Eine Dose auf einem Etikett monogrammiert und nummeriert. Exemplar: 2/100. 2012. 11,5 x 8,5 cm und 11,5 x 7,5 cm. Das Dosenset "Permafrost" erschien zum Heft Nr. 87 der "Texte zur Kunst" im September 2012 in einer Auflage von 100 Exemplaren, plus 20 Künstlerexemplaren. - "Der Künstler hat eine leicht doppelkegelige Würstchendose mit schwarzen, roten und gelben Streifen bemalt, den Farben der Anti-Atomkraft-Bewegung. Eine zweite Büchse mit Ananas in Scheiben trägt nun einen Ausdruck von Ferdinand Hodlers Alpenseepanorama "Thunersee mit Stockhornkette" (Texte zur Kunst). Neben der Interpretation als modernes Memento Mori, kann man nach Konsum des Inhalts die leeren Behälter auch schlicht als Vasen, Stifthalter oder Tischmülleimer nutzen. - Tadellos.

He studied from 1984-87 graphic art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braunschweig and from 1988-93 sculpture at the Academy of Arts in Berlin where he graduated as a master student in 1994. He has since then participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, amongst others at the Biennale in Lyon in 1997, the documenta 11 in Kassel in 2002 and the Venice Biennale in 2003. His three-dimensional, often expansive objects are partly reminiscent of architectural models and consist mostly of recycled materials such as cardboard and wood. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
