        Petit, Louis (1760 – um 1812). Der Fluß der Revolution. Kupferstich nach Michel Garnier (1753-1829). Gest. Beischrift Passage du Ruisseau (Durch den Rinnstein), Verlegeradresse Jean (Paris). 52,6:41,7 cm. Das prominente Blatt zeigt Überreste und Requisiten der Revolution, die davongeschwemmt werden, während die alte Normalität die andere Seite des versiegenden Stroms erreicht, von einem Opernplakat und anderen Bekanntmachungen empfangen, während die gedruckten Parolen der Revolution verbraucht am Boden liegen. Sehr guter Druck des häufig zitierten Blattes, auch als jüngerer Nachdruck im Umlauf.

A Pierced Gallery Crowns the Rectangular Mahogany Top Above a Cylinder Front that Opens to Reveal Interior Compartments and a Pull-Out Tooled Leather Writing Surface, Above a Central Drawer Flanked by Two Stacked Letter Drawers Each Decorated with Bronze Repeating Mounts and Original Escutcheons. Supported by Reeded Square Tapering Legs with Capped Bronze Feet. Two Slide-Out Writing Surfaces at Each End. Stamped on the Bottom of the Central Drawer N. Petit. Very Good Condition.
