Richard Phillips Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1963 -

Artist Richard Phillips began his career after graduating from Yale University of Art in 1986. He has exhibited all over the world, including at the Tate Modern, London and Van Abbesmuseum, the Netherlands.

Richard Phillips' abstract paintings cover controversial themes of power, politics, sexuality, and morbidity. He takes popular cultural references and applies classical painting methods to encourage the shift of perceptions and judgments. Some examples of Richard Phillips' abstract paintings feature portrayals of politicians in neon tones or supermodels as classical oil paintings.

Richard Phillips' painting prices have escalated over the years, and his work is sought after by collectors. If you're looking to add to your art collection, then peruse some of the exquisite abstract paintings online and at auction from a number of talented artists.
