Pierre Pivet, born in Normandie , France , obtains much of his inspiration from well-known masters such as Vermeer, Cezanne, Gauguin, Braque and Rembrandt. While blending the techniques and mastery he gains from his muses, Pivet fuses his paintings with a personal energy and vitality bringing the images to life making them solely unique. Pivet's brilliant use of color and lyrical brushstrokes combine to form distinctive works that remain with the viewer long after the initial observation.
