      [*] View of the Kronprinzen-Palais, festively decorated, Berlin. 1871. Albumen print (round). Diameter 16,3 cm. Mounted to original board, with gilt ornamental outline and photographer's letterpress, address Mohrenstrasse 8 on the mount. - - This image was probably taken on March 17, 1871 during the festivities celebrating the victorious return of Kaiser Wilhelm I to Berlin after the Franco-Prussian War. Another image by Emma Planck taken during this time is in the collection of the Agfa-Historama, Cologne showing the victory festivities of the Prussian troops in Berlin indicating that she took a series of images for the occasion. Along with Bertha Wehnert-Beckmann in Leipzig and Emma Bieber in Hamburg, Emma Planck was one of the few German women photographers of her time. – Slightly faded, small white spots throughout the image, otherwise in good condition. - - Lit.: Das Agfa Foto-Historama im Wallraf-Richartz-Museum/Museum Ludwig der Stadt Köln.
