    Haus in den Dünen, Ostseebad Nest Öl auf Karton. 1906/07. 28 x 20 cm. Unten rechts mit Pinsel in Braun signiert "P. Poetzsch".     Poetzsch, Paul. 1858-1936 Dresden beach in Torre del Greco (Naples). designated 1888. Oil on canvas mounted on cardboard, on frame plate and dated. In frame rear wall provenance information. Approximately 31.5 x 48.5 cm, framed. In 1886 the student of the Art Academy Dresden Paul Poetzsch won the coveted Prix de Rome, which allowed him a two-year study trip to Italy. In the work cycle of the resulting images there Italy vorliegendes image is classified from the Bay of Naples. After returning, he declined a teaching the art academy for health reasons, instead he opened in 1890 a private painting school in Dresden. The largely forgotten after his death in 1936 painter is currently being assessed comprehensively in a personal show at Schloss Lauenstein.
