Nancie Poignant Sold at Auction Prices

Nancie POIGNANT was born in Aigueblanche in 1911. She died in Chambéry in 2000. At the age of 18 she met the painter Lucien Poignant and the wife in 1930. Both went to place their easels side by side in the mountains or on the edge of the Savoy lakes.

Lucien died early in 1941 and Nancie, a fan of watercolors, devoted himself exclusively to painting with a knife. She asserts herself in this technique with bright and colorful colors.
