The human is always the central theme of his black-and-white photographs. He shows people who have to live with the repercussions and consequences, a regime has left them to deal with. In this project Polleross captured a transitional phase in the history of Eastern Europe. These pictures can be seen as historical documents, as well as snapshots of moments in time.
