The front shows a depiction of Napoleon, executed in sketchy black outlines, filled with dynamic colour fields. Characteristic is the uniform of the French Garde Impériale with the typical hat decorated with a feather and military medals. The reverse shows an abstract composition with circular orange, blue and dark brown lines in watercolour. The sheet is signed lower right ‘Popov. V.’ and in a very good condition indicating only minor signs of age and wear. It is slightly corrugated and mounted on the upper edges. The frame shows light traces of use as well.
